New! Aromaleigh Spring Solstice 2009 Limited Edition Eye Collection...

"The Spring Solstice collection evokes the awakening of color as the doldrums of winter begin to fade away. Fresh new life springs forth, budding flowers and trees. The ice melts, the chill leaves the air. Spring is finally here! "

Click here to view arm swatches and to read more about the inspiration behind the collection.

Color Descriptions:
Mallow - Spring’s first blush. The softest pale coral with shimmers of gold.
Heartleaf - The freshness of budding leaves with sparkles of violet.
Forget-me-not - The lush turquoise of petals, sparkling with magical turquoise sparkles.
Tansy - The deep golden color of closed flowerbuds, sparkling with blue highlight.
Jessamine - A walk through the Spring forest. Deep green and brown base with golden highlight shimmer.
Nasturtium - Dramatic neutral red, sparkling with highlights of pink sparks.
Phlox - A delicate, shimmering wash of pale silver grey with iridescent blue sparks.
Bellflower - A diaphanous violet purple tone, slightly sheer, with highlights of pink sparks.
Calendula - Warm mahogany brown with coppery sparkle shimmer.
Greenbrier - Lovely cool green with surprising sparks of blue, the color of the sky.
Alyssum - Soft frosty champagne pink with shimmer of green and blue.
Chicory - Rich copper with rose undertone, bright copper sparkle.
Hemlock - A complex, very wearable soft shimmering brown with undertones of green.
Lupine - Shimmering mid-tone smokey blue violet.
Candytuft - Petal pink with an abundance of violet sparkles highligting.
Trillium - Vibrant, but wearable fresh Spring green full of shimmering green sparkles.
Ondberry - A rich, softly shimmering eggplant purple with slight sparkles of gold.
Larkspur - Softly frosted lavender with a magical purple iridescence.
May Lily - My new favorite- the palest creamy greenish shimmer with sparkles of pink and violet.

Godetia - Rosy brown shimmer with tiny sparkles of gold throughout.
Zinnia - So unique, this vibrant but soft coral peach turns into a blend of pinkish coral with a dominant violet iridescence.

Aromaleigh V-Day Collection FOTD

After reading and posting in the Aromaleigh Addicts thread on the Aromaleigh Aficionadas forum today where the topic was last month's Limited Edition Valentine's Day eyeshadow collection, I realized I never posted a V-Day FOTD. Not only are the colors sweet and rich, I really love the texture of these eyeshadows; especially soulmate. It's so cushy and plush that it feels like powdered velvet.

Here's what I did today. I hope you like it.

*All makeup is Aromaleigh unless otherwise specified.

Eyes:
  • nude frost creme e/s - lid/crease
  • soulmate - lid
  • xoxo - crease
  • lovelorn - outer crease/v
  • oyster matte mixed with pillow talk - brow bone
  • tanzanite gel liner - uppers and lowers
  • max factor waterproof black mascara

Rest of face:
  • 2y voile - all over
  • translucent ultra resolution finishing powder - all over
  • pixie pure rouge - cheeks
  • limbo color creme - lips

My husband commented (unprompted) on how pretty this looked. I think yesterday's look was a little dark for his taste. Let me know your thoughts.

Evergreen/Sabine Aromaleigh FOTD

I normally stick with neutrals or purples tones, but have recently branced out into Green territory. As long as I select the "right" green for me (rich and/or muted), it works. I hope you like this look as much as I do. Thanks for checking it out.

  • NYX jumbo eye crayon in French Fries (a lovely warm frosty brown) - lid/crease
  • Wintergreen (ltd ed holiday 2008) - lid
  • Sabine (bete noire) - crease/v
  • Be Mine (ltd ed valentine 2009) - brow bone
  • Evergreen gel liner - smudged under lower lashes
  • Max Factor waterproof mascara in black

Rest of face:
  • 2y/2yl voile blend - all over
